PARENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM: Bellevue School District (BSD) requires that all parent volunteers fill out the Parent Volunteer Application form. You can find out more and register on the BSD website. These background checks take several days for approval and are required to be completed every three years. Please verify your status.
Looking for a way to get involved with the school?
Our entire PTSA is made up of volunteers and we are always looking for more helpers! We know time is often the biggest obstacle to volunteering in our school. We are fortunate this year that the majority of our time-consuming positions are filled. BUT....we always have room for more! We will send out notices for need via our Kodiak Korner newsletter, especially for single day events such as picture day, laptop distribution and other such activities. Our Staff appreciation team holds monthly events for our school, and we will always send out notices for those upcoming events. While we currently don't have many chair positions available, we do have committee positions we are looking to fill. Again, these are not time-consuming activities and do require some planning, but they are spread throughout the year and are much needed in support of our school and students!
Likewise, we are always looking for new ideas and suggestions for activities and events for our school. If you are interested in discussing these ideas, please reach out to volunteer@chinookptsa.org or president@chinookptsa.org to discuss!

This annual event is always a teacher and staff favorite! Bring in your favorite tasty treat...cookies, brownies, chocolate covered pretzels, peppermint bark......you name it, we want it! Our staff appreciation team will set up the dozens upon dozens of treats and teacher and staff pick a dozen of their favorites to be boxed up. Bakers always love getting creative with their treats for this event. Not a baker? No problem....bring in your favorite store-bought holiday treat!!!

8th Grade End of the Year Social--We are looking for an 8th grade parent(s) to Chair and as well as committee members to spearhead the 8th Grade end of the year activities. This will include planning the 8th Grade Social with a committee and determining what type of event you'd like to host. There is a PTSA sponsored budget to utilize. Please sign up to volunteer as a meeting will be held in December for the kickoff of planning.

2023-2024 VOLUNTEER OPENINGS
Staff Appreciation--We currently have a chair for Staff appreciation but are looking for added chairs to assist in the monthly staff appreciation events. Many of these events are potluck lunches that donated by volunteers and others are committee driven tokens of appreciation. All events are held just one day a month, except for staff appreciation week in May. This is a wonderful committee to join and put your party planning skills to use!!!! Cultural Co-chair--We are looking for a Co-Chair and committee members to assist in our cultural events. While we currently have a few events in the making, we would love to have a committee to bring fresh ideas with a variety of cultural experiences to share. Social Events--We are currently developing a Social Events Chair and committee. Join in on the ground floor of a new program designed solely for bringing the fun back to Chinook. Our goal is to create a variety of events and activities that will promote community with our students and hopefully build social connections! We believe that hosting these school events will help build wonderful memories for our students to look back on! Please contact president@chinookptsa.org with any questions or ideas!!
