PTAs are presented with this award for enrolling at least 20% more members this year than last year. That means our PTA growth has been truly exceptional! Why does joining the PTSA Matter?
Join the Chinook Middle School PTSA! The Chinook Middle School PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization committed to supporting and enriching the middle school experience for every student at Chinook. Through your membership and donations, we’re able to provide programs, resources, and events that foster a strong sense of community, connection, and school spirit.
Joining the PTSA is one of the easiest ways to stay engaged in your child’s school life. Members stay informed about key school initiatives, contribute to local and state-wide advocacy efforts, and enjoy opportunities to participate in decision-making and school events.
Our goal is 100% participation—and we offer several membership options to make that possible:

- Individual and family memberships
- Discounted teacher memberships (can be sponsored by parents!)
- Scholarships available upon request
The remaining portion stays right here at Chinook, helping to cover the operational costs of running our PTSA—things like our website, insurance, communications, and basic administrative needs.
While membership dues cover the foundation of our work, it’s our fundraising events that fuel the programs and experiences students love—like classroom enrichment, assemblies, field trips, student recognition, and community-building activities.

Every member is entitled to vote at our General Membership Meetings. Your vote is crucial in decisions regarding budgets, grants, programs, and activities to be funded throughout the year. Having a seat at the table ensures that your ideas and contributions are considered in our decision-making process.
