Chinook I-Connect is an award-winning PTSA program that connects new and existing parents/guardians to build relationships, foster participation, and strengthen our school community. With this goal in mind, I-Connect puts together informal, monthly meetings that focus on topics that are relevant to the middle school parent community, such as education, parenting, diversity, and community. We believe that by meeting face-to-face, sharing our experiences and thoughts, and giving each other tips and advice on issues related to education and parenting, we will build and strengthen our school community. While I-Connect meetings will have set discussion topics and guest speakers, I-Connect’s core value and uniqueness is in the personal connections and bringing together of its community members.
All Chinook parents are welcome to join our upcoming I-Connect meetings once they are schedule for 2022-23.
See Chinook Behind the Scenes on Upcoming Tour
Put on your walking shoes and join us for a revealing behind-the-scenes tour of our Chinook campus at the next I-Connect meeting. We’ll unlock doors to peek at places normally off-limits. We’ll see the school through the eyes of the people who designed and managed its construction. We’ll discover the forgotten past of original Chinook, established in 1961. The tour begins in the Commons on Wednesday, October 23, at 9:00 a.m. All parents/guardians are welcome.
Whether you like to explore, you appreciate architecture, or you’re simply curious about the place where your student goes every day, this will be a fun and informative walkabout. Come take a look at the Chinook you never see during Curriculum Night!
Our tour guides for the "Hidden Chinook Walking Tour" will be:
Andy Cottrill, Associate Principal of Design, BLRB Architects
Jack McLeod, Director, Facilities, Bellevue School District
Cyndi King, Director, Capital Construction, Bellevue School District
Jason Clark, Assistant Principal, Chinook Middle School
