Shine On Chinook is Here!!!
Our Shine On Chinook campaign is our annual fundraiser to raise funds for our PTSA. Your donation is crucial to keeping our PTSA well-funded and able to provide essential services to our students, staff and teachers that are not funded by federal dollars. Every year our board approves a budget based on the finances available to us as well as keeping an eye on future programs and projects. While we are careful and frugal in our decisions, we can only fund programs and events that we can afford. We prioritize programs and events that are most beneficial to our students and those that supplement the needs of our teachers and their classrooms.
As a non-profit organization, we rely on our community to support the efforts being made to better enrich our students during their middle school years. We want to provide not only academic achievement assistance, but emotional and social growth as well. Many of the programs are teacher led and initiated for the betterment of your child. Students taking Japanese are able to take a FIELD TRIP and experience a Japanese Tea House because of your donations. Has your student ever spoken about the Rocket Project or the Self-Authored Creative Books? Those CLASSROOM PROJECTS were funded by your donations. Our beautiful new instruments for Music and Band were purchased through our GRANTS funded by your donations. The ever popular and sometimes dreaded Camp Orkila trip, our SCHOLARSHIP fund helps offset the costs for many students who would otherwise be unable to attend. After school SOCIAL EVENTS and programs, 8th grade party, Staff Appreciation....all funded with your donations.
Our fundraiser starts November 2nd and runs until November 23rd!
