Supporting our School
1. Volunteer at Chinook
Chinook thrives because of the incredible support of our parent and caregiver community. Whether you can give a few hours or a few minutes, your time and talents make a real difference for our students, staff, and school culture. Sign up to volunteer here: Volunteer Opportunities
Get Started
Before volunteering, all adults must complete the Bellevue School District Volunteer Application, which includes a background check. This must be renewed every three years and can take several days to process.
Visit the BSD website to register or check your status.

2. AVID Speakers Needed
Would you be willing to share your story with our students? We are looking for volunteers to speak to our AVID classes for just 50 minutes. Students are eager to hear about your career path, your dreams when you were their age, and how you got to where you are today. If you are interested in being a speaker, please contact Rhea Weiss at [email protected].
3. Donate Board Games for Student Support Services
We are also collecting gently used board games to support our students during breaks and downtime. If you have games such as Monopoly, Jenga, puzzles, or other favorites, we would love to give them a new home at Chinook.
Thank you for being a part of the Kodiak community. Your time, support, and generosity help make Chinook a welcoming and enriching place for every student.
4. Help Stock the Student Snack Shelf
One simple way parents can support our students is by helping us keep a supply of healthy, nut-free snacks on hand in the front office. In the past, our PTSA has invited families to contribute prepackaged snacks that can be given to students throughout the day as needed.
We are once again asking for your help! If you’re able to donate, you can either:
